Deaths and Experimental Drugs

“Research” chemicals have been around for years but in the past several months a new one has appeared. 25I-NBOMe or simply N-bomb has been in the news recently for causing multiple fatalities. This drug is often ordered online and marketed to kids as legal LSD. It has the street name smiles or 25i.

N-Bomb is known to cause strong hallucinations, seizures and even death. Simply searching the drug on Google will pull up a list of lost lives caused by it. Deaths from the N-Bomb have been reported in states from Massachusetts to Florida. However, with this drug being new, it is hard to say if there aren’t more cases which were misidentified as being caused by other drugs.

As with many other new, designer drugs, legislation is still working on catching up, while manufacturers make minor chemical alterations to stay ahead of legal restrictions.

Signs of N-Bomb abuse:

  • Hallucinations and disorientation
  • High blood pressure
  • Dilated pupils and Insomnia
  • Jaw clenching and shaking
  • Confusion and scrambled communication
  • Nausea and Vomiting
  • Paranoia, fear, and panic
  • Seizures
