Feeling Better Day by Day

I was sick and doing dope every day. I remember being tired of living that way. So I reached out to Narconon and got on the phone with one of the Intake Specialists. He related with me more than I thought a person would, even finishing my sentences for me. That’s when I realized this program was different.

Going into Withdrawal was difficult, even more difficult than I imagined it would be. But looking back, it was worth it. Next was the sauna New Life Detoxification and that was my favorite part of the Narconon program. I remember one day, I went back to my room from sauna, and I fell asleep on the couch. I woke up feeling better than before. And day by day, it got better and better. After completing sauna, I felt one hundred times better than before.

During my program, I found myself talking to one of the staff members and started opening up to them, which I didn’t normally do. I realized this program was working for me because I was closed off for so long. I now have a different perspective on life. I can finally see things for what they are. I learned to appreciate the little things in life.

Before going to Narconon, my relationship with my mom was good. We always got along, but I never wanted her to be faced with me being an addict, even though she always accepted me. I felt like I stuck out like a sore thumb to her side of the family, but she never made me feel that way. She never supported me being an addict, but we had a good relationship. In the back of her mind, she knew what I was doing, but I never wanted it to become real for her. It was one thing for her to assume, but it was another verifying it. Thanks to this program, our conversations are better than ever, and I got a fresh start with her.

The Life Skills part of the program played an intricate part in mending our relationship. In fact, the entire Life Skills helped me emotionally in more ways than I could have imagined. I was able to resolve a lot of lingering issues, and I was able to take responsibility for my wrongdoings from all aspects of my life. I learned a lot about myself.

“For so long, I wanted to feel “normal.” So I used drugs to feel some sense of normalcy. After completing the program, I finally can be myself and feel normal.”

For so long, I wanted to feel “normal.” So I used drugs to feel some sense of normalcy. After completing the program, I finally can be myself and feel normal. I have a daily routine and can function daily without needing drugs.

To anyone out there struggling with addiction, give Narconon a call. This place works for people who want it to work. The first couple of weeks will be rough, but it’ll be worth it by the end. Seeing is truly believing. This truly changed my life. The thing is, you have to allow it to work for you.
