Embracing My Second Chance

M.L., Narconon Graduate

Almost ten years ago, I was at a crossroads in my life. I was struggling with addiction, and I felt trapped in an unbreakable cycle. In desperation, I went to Narconon Louisiana, a decision that would transform my life in ways I never thought were possible. The Narconon program was thorough and intensive; this experience challenged me to confront my addiction head-on, which is something I had never done. With the unfaltering support of the staff, I began to understand the root causes of my addiction and learned the skills needed to build and maintain a drug-free life. The holistic approach of Narconon focused on both physical and mental rehabilitation, which laid the foundation for my recovery.

Upon completing the program, I got the credentials to be a Certified Medical Assistant and worked at Narconon for four years. This experience was invaluable, strengthening my commitment to sobriety and allowing me to give back by helping others in the same position I had been in shortly before. Each day at Narconon, I witnessed an utter transformation in myself and others on their journey of sobriety.

When I was ready to leave Narconon to move to Canada, I knew it was a significant step, but I felt ready. I am proud to say that I have been happily married for five years to a fantastic woman who has supported me. We have a beautiful daughter and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our second child.

“The program gave me a second chance, and I have embraced it fully, creating a life filled with love, purpose, and hope.”

Narconon Louisiana saved my life, and I am forever grateful to their staff for their dedication, kindness, and knowledge. The program gave me a second chance, and I have embraced it fully, creating a life filled with love, purpose, and hope. Thank you, Narconon, from the bottom of my heart.
