How I Found My Way Back

Compass in hand

A TRUE STORY OF ADDICTION AND RECOVERY

“I grew up in the suburbs of Idaho in a small mining town of 3,000 people with small houses, a few convenience stores and lots of countryside. I was an only child. My parents fought a lot when I was growing up, but they maintained a relationship for me. They drank but never did drugs.

“Easy to say I grew up with an edge to me. I distanced myself at a young age. I would go outside and stay out riding dirt bikes with friends and exploring. My parents divorced when I was six years old, and I was a latch key kid after that.

“I was really into sports and played football which was my favorite, but also played basketball and baseball. I kind of just floated through high school. I passed my tests but was way more focused on drinking, chasing girls and having fun with friends.

“I mainly drank and smoked weed in high school and it wasn’t till after that I started getting into heavier drugs. I got into a toxic relationship and things went really downhill for a long time until I found Narconon.

“My overall experience at Narconon has been amazing! I was able to detox my body fully from all the drugs and harmful substances in my body. I feel better than I ever have and am in the best shape I have been in a long time.

“I can now be aware in present time and confront situations with much less manifestations. I also learned how to pick out social and anti-social behaviors and figure out the people I need to avoid in the future and those I should associate with.

“I learned how to confront all my situations and handle them the right way. I realized I was the one causing all the problems for myself and I wasn’t confronting them. I can communicate much better and because of this have no need to avoid people or conversations. I no longer get anxious or insecure. I no longer feel the need to use or point the blame on anyone but myself.

“I learned how to get honest with myself as well as with others. I learned how to become ethical and keep my life moving forward in a pro-survival way. I learned how to fix conditions in my life and how to maintain them in a successful direction.

“Today, for the first time in my life, I am finally happy with the person I am. I have complete control of myself and my life.”

“Today, for the first time in my life, I am finally happy with the person I am. I have complete control of myself and my life.

“I have complete confidence in myself and my ability now. I do not need to be told what to do or how to live anymore and it feels great! I truly believe I will never feel the need to turn to drugs again. I discovered the true reasons why I always turned to drugs and fixed them.

“Narconon has saved my life and even given me the upper hand. I will never stop bettering myself and will always stay true to myself. I know who I am and what I need to do and I’m never going to lose that again.”
