Narconon has been quite the journey for me. It wasn’t always easy, but it was worth it.

Detox was the most challenging part for me, but I am thrilled and fortunate I made it through. I was in bad shape when I first arrived. Then I did the sauna detoxification which was my favorite part of the program. It gave my body and mind a chance to detox fully. Sauna allowed me to no longer need sleeping meds, and I felt like I used to feel before I started using drugs. By the end of sauna, I wasn’t depressed anymore and felt great.

Objectives weren’t quite challenging, but they weren’t easy either. I found through Objectives that I became more analytical and less impulsive. I began to think differently, in a good way, and noticed that I was not focusing on the past or future as much and could enjoy today.

“It gave me the answer to how to get out of my endless cycle of hell and how I can help others get out too. It also showed me
how to keep doing well.”

Life skills was probably the most difficult to confront and handle, but I feel it was the most crucial part to learn how to move forward. It allowed me to see my role in things. I can learn from my mistakes and mend relationships I had burned. Ups and downs helped rebuild relationships and own my part in what happened. Personal values allowed me to see what I had done wrong and what I was continuing to do wrong. I also could see the result of my actions, and it helped me want change the kind of man I was. Conditions helped me know what was wrong in life and how to change what was wrong. It gave me the answer to how to get out of my endless cycle of hell and how I can help others get out too. It also showed me how to keep doing well.

Overall I am glad I got the opportunity to come here and finally live life drug-free.
