SIGNS OF ALCOHOLISM
Binge Drinking and Alcoholism
Binge drinking is the consumption of alcohol in excess in a short period of time. This often leads to severe physical, mental, and emotional harm. Bingeing is equally as dangerous as daily drinking as it can cause liver damage, heart issues, and cognitive impairments. Despite its risks, binge drinking is often normalized, especially among young adults. This delays intervention and increases alcohol dependence. Raising awareness, challenging societal perceptions, and promoting education are essential to addressing this harmful behavior.
