The Perfect Sober Halloween

Halloween

Halloween is one of the biggest party holidays of the year. This is why for many addicts it can be extremely difficult to get through it with your sobriety intact. Therefore, we have put together a plan to help you have the best, sober Halloween of your life!

The safest way to have a sober Halloween is to have a get together at home. Choose some close friends who are sober and doing well or maybe just have over your significant other. Order in, get some movies, make some popcorn and get ready for an at home Halloween.

Halloween is just another day with three important things; candy, costumes and frights. So, here we go—the first thing you got to do is get some candy or if you’re in the creative mood make some. There are so many awesome Halloween treat ideas from savory to sweet. Check out some ghoulish treats.

Step two, costumes. You don’t have to dress up, but if you are going to hang out with a couple friends even if you’re staying in, dressing up could be fun. Whether you’re out on the town or at home it is still the best night of the year to dress up… and put on some fake blood.

Finally, the frights. Get a couple of your favorite Halloween movies. After everyone has mingled and eaten sugary snacks, pop in a classic horror flick, sit back and watch the flick. If there are young ones, go for Hocus Pocus or for adults show Nightmare on Elm Street. There are tons of movies to pick from and if you can’t find one to your liking, buy one on Amazon.

The surest way to have an awesome and sober Halloween is to stay home. This puts you in control of the environment and safeguards you from interactions with intoxicated people.

Hope this helps you plan the perfect night. Happy Halloween from all the Narconon Staff.
