Repairing The Condition My Life Was In

When I first got to Narconon, I had no idea what to expect since it was my first rehab experience. On the phone, before I arrived, I was met with extremely nice voices and given plenty of information.

Then when I arrived, everyone was so nice, it was really comforting. That’s not to say I did not have issues because I did, but the staff have this amazing way of helping you to correct bad habits and behaviors, and it works!

Everyone understands because they, too, have been through it, and the fact that no one expected me to be perfect right away helped me a lot. It also helped me even when it wasn’t what I wanted to hear, but it was something I needed to hear. That took me a while to learn, and I am sorry for my behavior at the beginning because it was not good. Thank you to all the staff for sticking with me through that. I know I am human, and I have gotten a lot better, even if I do say so myself!

Despite all the ups and downs, I had an amazing time in withdraw, and this served to better prepare me for what was to come. Sauna [New Life Detpox] was next and definitely difficult for me for a while, but once I reached and experienced the end results, I understood why it is such an important part of the program. I have to thank the staff again for pushing me through.

I love every part of the Narconon program because it got me to where I am today, but the Objectives was probably my favorite. I thought it was different and unusual at first, but I still put my all into it, and I am so glad I did. The Objectives step was the part of the program for me in which I was most aware of the changes that were occurring in myself. I was communicating better, was more aware of the control I have over myself and my existence and became less reactive.

When I did life skills, I did a lot of handlings and wrote up a life history. I learned so much about myself and bettered the different relationships in my life. Some of it was hard for me, but again this made me stronger and better prepared. Finishing life skills has been my other favorite part of the program because looking at all my transgressions and changing my condition has changed me for the better and solidified all the changes I had throughout the Narconon program.

“From starting off scared to becoming a stronger, healthier, and more knowledgeable version of myself, I have never felt more ready to confront life and everything that comes with it while continuing to better the conditions of my life.”

Every change was different but also a crucial building block of my new identity. From starting off scared to becoming a stronger, healthier, and more knowledgeable version of myself, I have never felt more ready to confront life and everything that comes with it while continuing to better the conditions of my life.

All of these things and much more happened so that both I and everyone else could see a difference. The changes happened so naturally.

I have to end this by saying thank you to the staff who work tirelessly to ensure that we have amazing meals daily, live in a nice environment, enjoy a positive atmosphere, learn everything we can to improve our lives, have the luxury of our own tailor-made programs and so much more. You all saved my life, and I wish I could make it up to you. I can’t go through the list because I am already tearing up, but you all, each and every one of you, know what you have done for me, and I am so grateful. You all taught me how to be proud of myself, and I am. I am so going to miss this family. I love you all. Thank you, Narconon!
