Sweep Puts 48 Drug Dealers Behind Bars

A sting operation in Berk County, Pennsylvania rounded up 48 people on drug-related charges. The operation, dubbed Operation Tourniquet, targeted the distribution of heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription medications.

In a press conference, District Attorney John Adams stated:

Today, we send a message to the drug dealers of our community, that we will use every available law enforcement resource to bring them to justice,”

They did just that by confiscating a total of ten firearms, nine vehicles, $40,000 in cash and a substantial quantity of drugs including heroin with a street value of $30,000.
